Meet the Founder
With 15 years of experience in the arts and cultural sector, Vanessa Wilson has partnered with organizations and individuals to design, manage, and grow artist-centered programs, public events, publications, and organizational systems. She currently leads San Francisco Open Studios, the largest and longest-running open studios program in the United States, produced by ArtSpan. Her work has also included program strategy, operations leadership, grant development, editorial support, and cross-sector partnerships—always with a focus on creating practical next steps that turn ambitious ideas into meaningful outcomes.
Vanessa’s experience spans fine art, nonprofit, and unconventional creative spaces, with a consistent commitment to working directly with artists, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding access to visual culture. Past clients include The Midway Gallery (San Francisco), State of the Art Podcast, @art, Museo Inka (Peru), and numerous independent artists.
